Job Today 1

Taking on a

monster of

an industry

The brief

Job Today’s mission is to change the way people find work — to make it simple.

With $81million in venture capital funding, what started as an app soon became an online platform with a complex SEO challenge ahead.

With the likes of Indeed, Monster and Reed for competition, Job Today wanted to dramatically increase visibility for both ‘job poster’ and ‘job seeker’ search terms, so they needed to ensure their site was both technically sound and supported by a tight content strategy.

Our approach

We were super early adopters of Google’s jobs structured markup, which saw Job Today included in the 'Job Search on Google' rich snippet search panel.

Working closely with the development team, we helped to launch a new job feed that was pivotal to the increases in organic visibility, allowing Job Today to reach a significantly larger online audience.

We created job poster landing pages to target employers from specific industries and devised a blog content strategy targeting job seekers in the early stages of their search.

Educating Job Today’s internal team was crucial, so we hosted technical SEO training for their developers in Luxembourg.

We launched 24/7 site monitoring to identify any potential technical issues, alert the relevant teams and implement the necessary changes at speed.

With the UK market in great shape, we supported Job Today with expansion to the US and Mexico.

The results

“Journey Further has been instrumental in our SEO success over the past two years. They have helped us from strategy to implementation across all aspects of SEO, bringing our website from its early days to the mature online platform it is today. Highly recommended both their team and approach!”
